JUMP CUT AUDIO | MUSIC LICENSE AGREEMENT
Jump Cut Audio | Operated by GVO Sounds
This Music License Agreement (“Agreement”) governs the use of music downloaded or licensed from jumpcutaudio.com. By generating a Project License, downloading a Track for production use, or using a Track in a Production, the account holder accepts this Agreement and the scope of the selected Plan.
Each separate Production requires its own Project License. A Production properly licensed and first published within the applicable Activation Window remains covered permanently, subject to this Agreement.
Jump Cut Audio represents that it controls, administers or is authorized to license the rights expressly granted for each Track made available under the selected Plan. No ownership is transferred to you.
Terms
Track
Track means a complete sound recording and its underlying musical composition supplied through the Jump Cut Audio catalog. A Track may be vocal or instrumental. Every Plan may license the main catalog version of a Track, subject to that Plan’s permitted uses.
Alternate Version means an additional authorized version of a Track, including a no-vocal instrumental version, clean version, shortened edit or alternate mix.
Stem means an isolated audio component of a Track, such as vocals, drums, bass or other instruments. An Alternate Version or Stem is available only where expressly included in the selected Plan and offered for that Track.
Production
One identifiable audiovisual or permitted audio programme into which a Track is synchronized as supporting material. Versions, edits, aspect ratios, language versions and cut-downs of the same campaign or programme remain one Production if their essential creative identity is unchanged.
Project License
The electronic license record generated through the Jump Cut Audio account that identifies the Track, Production, Licensee, Plan and license date.
Publish
To make a completed Production publicly available, transmit it to a client or distributor for release, broadcast it, exhibit it, or launch a paid campaign containing it.
Client Work
A Production created by a Licensee for an unrelated third-party client. The client may publish and exploit that completed Production, but receives no right to use, extract or relicense the Track separately.
Paid Advertising
Placement of a Production in paid media, including paid social, boosted posts, sponsored content, pre-roll, display, connected-TV or other purchased advertising inventory.
Independent Use
Use in which the Track is the primary product or listening experience rather than supporting a Production—for example an audio release, compilation, playlist upload, music-only video, visualiser, continuous stream, DJ mix, meditation album or background-music service.
Major-Brand Campaign
A campaign for a multinational enterprise, nationally recognized consumer brand, political campaign, regulated gambling operator, or a campaign with combined production and paid-media expenditure above €100,000.
Channel
One social-media, video, podcast or other publishing channel connected to or identified in the Jump Cut Audio account. A website operated by the Licensee counts as one Channel.
Standard License Certificate
The project-specific proof of license supplied with Starter and Creator Plans. It does not expand the Plan’s permitted uses.
Extended License Certificate
The project-specific proof of license supplied with the Professional Plan for covered client work, advertising and synchronization uses.
White Label License Certificate
The project-specific proof supplied with the Agency Plan that may identify the agency and its client. “White Label” does not transfer ownership of the Track, remove creator rights or permit use outside the completed Production.
Subject to payment, this Agreement and the selected Plan, Jump Cut Audio grants you a non-exclusive, worldwide, non-transferable license to reproduce, edit and synchronize the licensed Track in the identified Production and to publish, communicate, display, distribute and monetize that Production through the media permitted by the Plan.
The grant covers the master-use and composition rights controlled by Jump Cut Audio for the licensed Track. It does not waive fees that a broadcaster, venue, platform or other user may independently owe to a collecting society under local law or its own blanket agreement.
• A separate Project License must be generated for every Track used in every separate Production. • A Track may be shortened, looped, faded, timed to picture, mixed with dialogue or effects, and used in reasonable cut-downs. You may not create a remix, derivative song, new master, isolated sample pack or materially altered musical work. • Attribution is required under the Starter and Creator Plans and is not required under the Professional and Agency Plans, unless a Project License expressly provides otherwise.
Subscriptions renew monthly until canceled. You may cancel at any time through the account controls or by contacting Jump Cut Audio. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period, and access continues until then.
A Project License may be generated only while the relevant subscription is active and paid. The Production must first be Published within 12 months after the Project License date (“Activation Window”). After first publication within that window, the licensed Production remains covered permanently, including continued availability, monetization, reposting, distribution and client use after cancellation.
Cancellation does not authorize use of downloaded Tracks in new Productions, generation of new Project Licenses, or first publication after the Activation Window. Renewing or editing an already licensed Production does not create a new Production unless its essential creative identity, advertiser, product or campaign changes.
The Project License, this Agreement and any signed project-specific addendum together define the granted rights. If a project-specific addendum conflicts with this Agreement, the addendum controls for that Project. Marketing copy does not independently expand the granted rights.

All online platforms and podcasts; Client Work; Paid Advertising; covered synchronization; priority support; Extended License Certificate. Main catalog Tracks are included whether vocal or instrumental. Alternate Versions and Stems are included where offered for the selected Track. The Plan includes uncompressed 44.1 kHz/16-bit WAV downloads. Attribution is not required. Broadcast, theatrical, major-brand, games, apps, templates and embedded products require written project clearance or an addendum.
Agency
Unlimited Channels and unlimited Track downloads, subject to genuine production use. Professional uses; Alternate Versions and Stems where offered; early access to new Tracks; dedicated client representative; White Label License Certificate. The Plan includes uncompressed 44.1 kHz/16-bit WAV downloads. Attribution is not required. Broadcast, theatrical, major-brand, games, apps, templates and embedded products require written project clearance or an addendum.
Professional and Agency Licensees may create Client Work Productions during an active subscription, provided each Production has its own Project License and remains within the selected Plan. The completed Production may be delivered to and published by the identified client. Neither the client nor any distributor may extract the Track for another project.
Paid Advertising includes paid social campaigns, boosted posts, sponsored content, pre-roll, display and other purchased online advertising inventory. Professional and Agency coverage includes Paid Advertising on online platforms. Broadcast, theatrical and Major-Brand Campaigns require project-specific written clearance because the pricing page does not include those uses expressly.
Professional and Agency subscribers may purchase additional project-specific licenses for television, radio broadcast, theatrical exhibition, commissioned film, VOD programming and Major-Brand Campaigns.
Where the Track is identified as one-stop cleared and the proposed use falls within a tier published in the Jump Cut Audio Broadcast & Major Production Rate Card, the Licensee may obtain immediate clearance by providing the required project information, paying the applicable fee and receiving a project-specific license certificate. No separate email approval is required.
Each license is limited to the production, media, territory, term, production budget and advertising spend recorded on the license certificate. Materially inaccurate information may invalidate rights that exceed the correctly priced license scope.
Custom written clearance is required for uses exceeding the published limits, exclusivity, sonic branding, sensitive-content categories, derivative musical uses or Tracks that are not identified as one-stop cleared. Additional fees or revenue-sharing terms may apply. No custom rights are granted until Jump Cut Audio issues written confirmation.
Broadcast and film licensees must complete and submit an accurate cue sheet. The license does not waive public-performance royalties or fees payable by broadcasters, venues or platforms to performing-rights organizations.
No standard Plan permits a Track to be supplied in a form that allows an end user to extract, select, remix or reuse it, including stock templates, template marketplaces, sample packs, generative tools, games, apps, plug-ins, downloadable products or user-generated-content systems.
Jump Cut Audio may approve such use through a written addendum that states the product, security measures, term and financial arrangement. The addendum may require either (a) an agreed royalty percentage shared with Jump Cut Audio and the original creators, or (b) a one-time buyout fee. No such right exists until the addendum is signed and any required fee is paid.
You must not, and must not permit another person to: • use or distribute a Track independently of a permitted Production; • claim ownership or authorship of a Track, register it with a rights-management or fingerprinting service, or allocate it a new ISRC; • sublicense, sell, transfer, upload or make a Track available as stock music, production music, a sample, stem or downloadable asset; • use a Track to train, fine-tune, test or develop an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning model, or include it in a training dataset; • use a Track to imitate an identified artist, create a synthetic performance, or generate a materially similar replacement recording; • use a Track in unlawful content or content that promotes hatred, terrorism, abuse, illegal activity or deliberate deception; • use a Track in pornography, political campaigning, tobacco promotion, weapons promotion or defamatory content without Jump Cut Audio’s prior written approval; • remove ownership metadata, circumvent access controls, share account credentials, scrape the catalog, or download at a volume inconsistent with genuine production use.
Sub licensing is prohibited. Delivery of a completed, licensed Production to an identified client, broadcaster, platform, distributor or exhibitor is not sub licensing if that party uses the Track only as embedded in that Production.
Jump Cut Audio may issue a separate sublicense or embedded-product license where the third party signs written terms and either shares an agreed royalty percentage with Jump Cut Audio and the original creators or pays an agreed one-time buyout fee. Discussions, quotations or draft terms do not grant rights.
Jump Cut Audio does not intentionally register Jump Cut Audio subscription Tracks with YouTube Content ID. Because artists, distributors, collecting societies, platform partners or fraudulent third parties may generate claims outside Jump Cut Audio’s control, Jump Cut Audio cannot promise that no automated claim will ever appear.
If a claim affects a properly licensed Production, email gvosounds@gmail.com with the Project License, Track title, public URL, claimant name and screenshot. “Release a claim” means that Jump Cut Audio will verify the license and, where Jump Cut Audio or an authorized partner controls the claim, instruct the claimant or relevant platform process to withdraw, release or cease monetising that specific claim. Jump Cut Audio will use commercially reasonable efforts to respond within five business days.
For a claim controlled by an unaffiliated third party, Jump Cut Audio will provide reasonable license evidence and assistance, but cannot control the platform’s or claimant’s decision or response time. A platform claim is not automatically a copyright strike and does not by itself invalidate a Project License.
You must provide accurate account, client, Production and Channel information and keep it current. You must not exceed the download or Channel limit stated for the Plan. Project Licenses may not be backdated. Jump Cut Audio may request reasonable evidence of publication date, production budget, client identity, Channels or distribution where needed to verify compliance.
Jump Cut Audio may suspend downloads or licensing while investigating suspected fraud, credential sharing, systematic catalog copying, unpaid charges or material breach. Where reasonably possible, Jump Cut Audio will provide notice and an opportunity to cure. Suspension does not cancel valid Project Licenses already properly granted, except where obtained through fraud or material misrepresentation.
Subscription cancellation, statutory withdrawal rights and refunds are governed by the Business and Subscription Terms. Cancelling automatic renewal does not automatically create a refund entitlement and does not revoke a valid Project License. Nothing in this Agreement limits a consumer’s mandatory withdrawal, conformity, refund or other statutory rights.
Jump Cut Audio may terminate this Agreement or a Project License for material breach, fraud, non-payment, use beyond the Plan, or infringement of Section 9. If a remediable breach is not cured within 14 days after written notice, the affected rights may end. Immediate termination is permitted for deliberate piracy, fraudulent licensing, AI training, prohibited registration, unlawful content or conduct that creates serious legal risk. Termination does not affect accrued payment obligations. Properly obtained Project Licenses remain valid after ordinary subscription cancellation, but a license obtained by fraud or used outside its recorded scope may be revoked to the extent permitted by law.
Jump Cut Audio warrants that it has authority to grant the express rights stated in a valid Project License. If a Track cannot lawfully be used as licensed due to a rights defect controlled by Jump Cut Audio, Jump Cut Audio may, at its option, provide a replacement Track, obtain the necessary clearance, modify the license, or refund the amount reasonably attributable to the affected license.
Except for express promises and rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, the service and catalog are provided as available. Jump Cut Audio does not warrant uninterrupted access, universal platform acceptance, commercial success, suitability for a particular creative purpose, or freedom from claims initiated by unaffiliated parties.
Nothing excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, breach of non-excludable consumer rights, or any liability that cannot legally be limited.
Subject to that rule, Jump Cut Audio is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost opportunity, reputational harm, platform action, or loss caused by use outside the Project License. Jump Cut Audio’s aggregate liability arising from a Project License will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees paid by the Licensee to Jump Cut Audio during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) €250. This limitation does not apply where mandatory law requires a higher remedy.
Jump Cut Audio may amend these terms for future subscriptions and Project Licenses to reflect changes in law, rights, services or business operations. Material changes will be notified reasonably in advance where required. The version in force when a Project License is generated governs that Production unless the parties agree otherwise. Changes do not retroactively reduce a properly granted perpetual Project License.
If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign this Agreement except with Jump Cut Audio’s written consent; Jump Cut Audio may assign it as part of a transfer of the service or relevant catalog, provided existing Project Licenses remain protected.
Events beyond reasonable control may excuse delayed performance for their duration. Notices to Jump Cut Audio must be sent to gvosounds@gmail.com. Electronic records, order confirmations and Project Licenses may be used as evidence of the agreement.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Netherlands. The courts of Amsterdam have jurisdiction, except that a consumer may bring or defend proceedings in any court made available by mandatory law in the consumer’s country of residence. Before filing a claim, the parties should first attempt in good faith to resolve it by email within 30 days. Consumers may also contact an applicable consumer or alternative-dispute body where legally available.
